3 journalers for this copy...
I read this a while ago and I have to admit that I could probably live happily ever after with just ten books in my shelf - I keep forgetting their plots SOOO quickly... If I remember correctly I would have wished some more vetting in this book and the plot wasn't that great.
I did like the aforisms in the beginning of chapters:
"The bird in the hand makes a bit of a mess."
"Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier 'n' puttin' it back in."
"No matter how much the cats fight, there always seem to be plenty of kittens."
"The early bird may get the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese."
The book continues now to 3vie whom I tagged with it. Enjoy!
Edit Pic in June 2020: I sent our customers to fetch their prescription medicine from a pharmacy in the once shady part of Helsinki, as little detecting had shown that it was the only pharmacy which still had it (the drug being otherwise out of stock due to Brexit). I told them to pack a knife in their handbag just in case and avoid boot-leggers and drug-dealers. They brought me a "shady bottle" (dressed in newspaper to make it look innocent) with "detektiv" (Swedish for detective) written on it. We do have nice if zany customers!

Released 12 yrs ago (4/2/2012 UTC) at Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear United Kingdom
CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Off to 3vie. Had no idea in which county Newcastle Upon Tyne would be and randomly hit Northumberland (which I've somehow always thought of being Northcumberland, but either there is a spelling mistake on these pages and I'm the first to spot it or I'm wrong - so please correct the spelling...) and jackpot, there it was!
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Chosen from the birds bookring, thank you.
Mobile vet Jessica Popper has had an interest in crime since she was with her ex, PI Nick Burby. So when she and her dogs discover a body, and what's more one with a dead canary nearby indicating that the victim might have been about to 'sing' she's determined to investigate, especially when the police don't seem to be bothering. But with her ex Nick warning her to take care and hovering protectively close, it seems she can hardly get away from him. Featuring lots of animals, this is great fun, a light and cosy mystery.
