This was left in the Galleywood telephone booth on a free book swop week. I have avoided all but a couple of Terry Pratchett's books as they are not serious enough for me! I was visiting my son & family & they swopped lots of books & I felt drawn to this. Indeed I enjoyed most of it but as I suspected I felt irritated by the annotations & asides. Thank you for the experience x x x

On it's way to my secret santa partner - Merry Christmas!
Journal Entry 5 by kingfan30 at Corby Glen, Lincolnshire United Kingdom on Wednesday, December 25, 2013
Thank you once again to a very generous Santa :-)
28 Sept 16 - I've been reading my way through the discworld books, some I enjoy more than others, but on the whole it's a series I enjoy and look forward too. So a non discworld book by the same author, should be good, or so I thought. there were bits that made me smile and I particularly liked the friendship between the angel and demon. However there were a lot of characters and I think some of the biblical references were a bit beyond me. Not a bad read but think I will stick with discworld in future. This bit I thought, a lot of readers could relate too:
Aziraphale collected books. If he were totally honest with himself he would have to have admitted that his bookshop was simply somewhere to store them. He was not unusual in this. In order to maintain his cover as a typical second-hand bookseller, he used every means short of actual physical violence to prevent customers from making a purchase. Unpleasant damp smells, glowering looks, erratic opening hours - he was incredibly good at it.

On its way to the next reader.
Thank you very much for the book, it arrived just in time for my Christmas vacation :-)
Edit 8 Feb 2017:
Noticed I hadn't written anything else about this book... It was just too fantastic not to write down how much I enjoyed it! What a funny, messy, and very human novel. When both a demon and an angel despair over the unpredictable and confusing actions of humans, but then hope for just those to save the world... hillariously funny and still very meaningful to read!

Passed on at the meet-up, enjoy!
Found it a the Bookcrossing meet up. As I love Neil Gaiman and I haven´t read this book yet and don't have it in my collection it might stay with me permanent.
