Journal Entry 2 by ottawabill at Mayflower Restaurant on Elgin St. in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on Monday, November 24, 2003
Released on Monday, November 24, 2003 at Mayflower Restaurant on Elgin St. in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.
I've been home sick all day with a cold and am having a bit of cabin fever now. So at 6:00pm I am going to go to the Mayflower for some soup and a sandwhich and will leave this book there. I may try and drop it in the left front window with the papers or leave it in the paper rack at the fornt entrance. But if not, will leave it by my seat. Come for it while I'm there and I'll buy you coffee and desert if you like.

My mother has been looking to find a bookcrossing book for a while now. Right before Christmas, she found her first one (this one) in a (restaurant?) in Ottawa. As we were doing found-things-only stockings this year, she added it to my stocking as a gift. I have brought it to Nova Scotia, but couldn't finish reading it (too many reterations of how sexy the two main characters bodies were -- it was enough to make me gag; i wanted them to have interesting personalities and lives, not to be told repeatedly how firm their breasts were under stressful conditions. But it was still exciting to recieve, if not to read). I intend to leave in around town sometime soon.

I came across Tall Poppies in Paddy's Pub in Wolfville, NS, Canada on Jan 6 2004. Travelling books, what a great concept! A fantastic story about two strong women depicting their journey through life, and how their lives affect each other. A bit cheesy and superficial at times. Definitely worth a read! I'll pass it on to a friend, to continue its journey
