Wow, lucky me! A relatively early unread Donna Leon mystery on the Neuegasse Bücherregal!
7/17/11 - a typical outing with Commissario Brunetti: lots of Ventian atmosphere, descriptions, and food, lots of conclusions about people's points of view, but kind of thin on plot. OK, so who did run over Maria Testa (fna Suor'Immaculata) while she was riding a bike on the Lido? As far as I can tell, it was the Opus Dei bogeyman, which never gets fleshed out.
