If that can't be done, I would also support having a line or two of text to be permanently displayed (for notices like "I'm not active here, contact me at...." or "I've moved, check my new address before sending", etc).

I think the default journal view for any book should be newest-to-oldest, so you can immediately see what's been happening with the book lately. But having the newest JEs when writing your own JE is even more important -…
