Extended Profile
I'm a booklover, reader, writer, and teacher. I'm married with six kids (four of whom are teenagers) and believe me, reading is a welcome escape! I'm a transplanted Southerner and native Alabamian living in Northern Illinois and even though I've been here a year I still have not recovered from the culture shock.

I don't currently have a wish list because I spend my discretionary income on the books I want. It's like the T-shirt I bought for my 8-year-old daughter: Saw it, wanted it, had a fit, got it! Most of the time I happen on books at garage sales and thrift stores but I also belong to four book clubs.

I enjoy reading romance, erotica, true-crime, forensics and profiling, and fiction in general. In true keeping with my bipolar nature I read to appease my soft, dreamy, romantic side and to appease my cool, logical, analytical side. Don't think they don't duke it out quite often!

I can't list favorite authors because I will literally read everything. I'm more likely to be able to say who I don't enjoy reading than make a list of those I do. I'll even read shampoo bottles while standing in the shower and my husband scolds me for reading all the labels in the grocery store.

In addition to being a passionate reader and advocate of books and learning, I am also a writer. I've published poetry in Open Minds Quarterly, mindcaviar.com; and cleansheets.com; and fiction at afternoondelights.com and pinkflamingo.com under the pseudonym Zoe Richardson. I write erotica, primarily, but I dabble in other kinds of poetry and fiction. I like to play with words and see what happens. Sometimes, they ignite!

If you see anything on my list that you would like to read, I'm happy to trade. If you can't afford to trade, then beg me to send it anyway. Nine times out of ten I will because I'm a sucker and I hate to see someone book-less. Besides, I can always get more!

Happy Reading everyone, and visit my blog if you want to read some of my non-ficiton. It's titled 'Scarlett O'Hara on Prozac and its all about my adjustments to Yankeeland. I don't get to write every day, so there aren't many posts but I do what I can. I'm trying to finish my college degree and that takes priority at the present.
