I'm a 41 year-old transplant to The Big Island of Hawai'i from California (North & South) where I was for 28 years. When I was young I loved Stephen King books like 'Carrie' and 'The Shining', etc., but since I got to Hawai'i my interests have changed to Spiritual Philosophy, Channelled Literature, Current Political Theory, Metaphysics. I am going back to school in Fall of 2004 to complete my Bachelor's dgree in Sociology with an Agriculture minor--I wanna eventually have my own tropical flower nursery here. My Mom is the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director of the Southern California branch of the ACLU, and my Father is a rascal who's done everything from embezzling from General Motors (and getting caught) to smuggling Heroin from Bangkok to Los Angeles (and getting caught). My parents, different as night and day, are divorced and remarried to much more suitable mates long ago. I am a Certified Massage Technician (In CA not HI--yet) and I've had all kinds of jobs over the years--mostly sevice industry--waiter, boxboy, video store clerk, recreation center attendant, in-home caregiver for sick/elderly folks(very fulfilling, but quite a challange). Now I'm about to start working at a nursery as an apprentice as the first step on my road to plantation overlord. I've spent the last 9 months being poor in Paradise, feeling the healing effect of the Aloha Spirit....but things keep changing and I have the feeling I'm going to be very busy.........
