Retired after 19 years as a public library director and 18 years as a director of human resources (personnel manager). Avid reader since an early age, still have the first book I purchased and a book collector specializing in fiction by Southwestern U.S. authors. Have a 'completist' collection of the works of Elmer Kelton. Active in Texas Folklore Society and the Friends of the Arlington(Texas) Public Library. Member of Arlington Historical Society, West Texas Historical Association, American Association of Retired People, and a book store junkie. Enjoy attending book and paper shows. Have been threatened with "If you bring another book in this house, you and the book will be thrown out."
