'Then we came to the end' is unique in my experience, in that the first person narrator is never identified. The novel follows a team of misfits and eccentrics as they try and survive in their advertising agency. Each member of the team is skilfully drawn and interacts in a sensible way with the other characters. The achievement of the novel however is the way in which the everyman narrator fits within the team without being referred to by the others.
