I can't say this book changed my life. It was an enjoyable enough read, but Koontz's characters are ultimately two dimensional, his themes are simplistic and obvious, and his denouements can even come off as preachy. Having said that, the one thing he gets right is the atmosphere...and some of his ideas are marginally original and genuinely creepy. If you enjoy this book let me know...I'd like to recommend others.
