Very different from McCafferty's Jessica Darling series. I thought the concept of this book was interesting, but something about it I just didn't really care for. I was interested in the book enough that I want to read the sequel, Thumped. This book is a satire and full of futuristic language. Some people may have difficulties keeping up with the lingo. I've read very few satires and so far I haven't found them as appealing or funny as others have so I've come to think I'm not a satire person. If you're someone who enjoys satire and futuristic books this is probably a good read for you.
