Picked this up last weekend at the local ubs, Willow Tree Books. I'm not sure I've ever read anything by Dahl, but I've always heard this book is very good. I'm going to read it, then release it on Valentine's Day in Becky's (N-R-Jyzer's) memory.

The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, the Fleshlumpeater, the Bonecruncher, or any of the other giants - rather than the BFG - she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that they are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

Enjoyable children's story. I'd always heard this was a good book, so when I found a copy I wanted to read it too. I was confused at first by the BFG's descriptive phrases, but after a while I caught on to them. I especially enjoyed the last part of the story, when Sophie and the BFG go to England to save the children. Read it for yourself ;)
