This Book is Currently in the Wild!
2 journalers for this copy...
I've seen and enjoyed Alfred Hitchcock's classic psychological thriller Vertigo many times, but hadn't realized until fairly recently that it was based on a novel. Once I learned that I was eager to find a copy, and lo! The other day I came across this good-condition trade paperback among the secondhand books at Toadstool Books in Milford. Hooray!
Later: Very interesting... This is one of those cases where if I'd read the book first I would have been stunned by the twists in the movie, but as I did it the other way around I found myself anticipating the wrong things in the book! It does have many of the same plot elements, including the key one (which I won't mention as it's a huge spoiler), but lots of others are... rather different. [As are the character names, which actually helps a bit in keeping the movie-plot and book-plot separate in my head.]
Suspenseful, emotional, and very, very twisty - glad I (finally!) read this one.
[There's a TV Tropes page for the film, btw.]

This book's going into my Based on the Book bookbox, with this book serving as the bookbox journal. The box will be on the way to the first participant soon. Enjoy!
Travelling with the "Based on the Book" bookbox. Really enjoyed the movie though!
