It's that special time of the year - the annual Children's Hospital Book Market is on! I made a short visit on Saturday with my elder daughter and we didn't come home empty handed. I got some large-print books for my aunt and several books for myself, too.
Louise Penny is a new author for me. I've seen her mysteries favourable mentioned in the Book Talk forum so couldn't resist picking this one up as well as another title, Dead Cold.

This is the third volume in the series featuring Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Quebec Sureté. Although the case under investigation is the least plausible yet with its séances and an evil house, I still enjoyed revisiting the village of Three Pines and its residents. It was satisfying to learn more about the Arnot case which has haunted Gamache since the beginning. It has been clear all along that there is a traitor on his team, a spy reporting to someone else at the Sureté. This time the betrayal from within extends to newspaper articles libeling Gamache as well as family members and the traitor is finally disclosed.
