It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

Part of the Dorling Kindersley Readers Series, this book is classed as Level 3 (Reading Alone). It is designed to present the well-known story of Anne Frank to children who are old enough to read on their own, but might not be quite ready to read Anne's diary yet. It is complete with a glossary explaining some of the terms and events important to the story with which younger children may not be familiar.

I bought this book in Owen Sound while I was working on a production for the Western Ontario Drama League Festival in March. I am currently reading a lot of WW2 stories as I prepare to work (somehow) on my theatre's upcoming production of The Diary of Anne Frank, which will be staged as part of our 2010-2011 season. This book appealed to me because it is geared to those younger than most war/holocaust stories are. Sometimes just a different wording helps you to understand something differently, so I thought this was worthwhile to read, even though I am an adult and thus way too old for the book! As the granddaughter of a participant in the Liberation of the Netherlands, I have been hearing this kind of story longer than I can remember. Since the youngsters today are even farther removed from the people who were there, I hope that this book will help to keep the history alive and well.
