I had to read this book as an assignment for my AP Literature class. It looked so long and boring but it ended up that whenever I could find a spare minute I was reading this book! It was soooo good! It is the life story of a missionary family in the Congo told from 5 different women perspectives. The book did take a while to get through but what I liked best was that there was rarely, if ever, a boring moment. I was able to completely relate to each of the characters, which made the book seem more real than fiction! YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!
