Killing Me Softly

I bought this at a used book store a few weeks ago.
Good read. I think I liked it the best of Nicci French's books so far. Alice is a scientist and organized woman who leaves her boyfriend, her apartment, her friends, most everything that has mattered in her life for Adam Tallis, a mountaineer she has just met. While Alice falls headlong into an obsessive relationship with Adam (sleeping with him the day they first pass on the street) she loses parts of herself oinly to realize that perhaps this wasn't a wise decision. Adam has a troubled past, and a disaster on a mountain called Chungawat seems to be only the tip of what Alice does not know about him. Good pacing here, lots of suspense. I didn't find myself attached to the characters that much, but I was certainly interested in what would happen.
