This is the first Anna Pigeon novel. The very best thing about this series is that they are set in National Parks. Also, the mystery is fast paced. If you like heroines who are independent, but flawed, you will probably like Anna Pigeon.

It took a year but this book finally came to the top of my TBR pile! I enjoyed it even more than "Ill Wind". Anna Pigeon is a very brave person. I think that the author has fashioned the heroine after herself.
