It's a new month... time for some new bug fixes!
While Matt is still working on harnessing the book data that we all have contributed to, and making it available for searches, he's also been rather busy fixing other things, and even adding some nifty little features. Read all about it in this Announcements forum post.

I really enjoy Hiassen's books. I've been reading them for almost 10 years now and I've read every fiction book he's written.

Sick Puppy was very enjoyable and written in the notable Hiassen style. His commitment to the environment and the destruction of Florida's coastal areas (and skyline) is admirable--particularly since he turns it into entertaining reading.

It is too difficult to describe the plot. Suffice it to say it involves the kidnapping of a human being and a dog, a character with poor anger management, a couple of characters from previous Hiassen books, political corruption, big game hunting, and of course, the description of Florida's environment.

If you like Hiassen, this book will be very enjoyable. I recommend it like "Tourist Season" and any other Hiassen books.

One minor complaint: the book ends rather abruptly with no update about the central characters. Perhaps this was intentional.
