An intriguing first book by this author. Follows an 18-year-old who moves to NYC from Tasmania after the death of her mother. She goes to work for an eccentric used bookstore and eventually gets wrapped up in a mystery surrounding a lost Herman Melville manuscript. I never read anything by Melville, but still enjoyed the story.

UPDATE: If this hasn't been picked up already, I left it by the restrooms on the ledge in front of the antique oyster platters inside the restaurant.
