"I have books, but I don't want them sold, just shared," said the gentleman as he came in to the cafe with a bag.

"Well, leave them here, then, and we'll take care of them for you."

"I'll go out to my car and get some more."

I liked this story better than the author's more popular "Snow Falling on Cedars." Enjoyed the way those the main character met along his trip to end his life impacted him in subtle ways that amounted to a huge change of perspective in the end.

I'll put it back on the bookcrossing shelf...I think another bookcrosser wants it and I'll tell her to find it there.

Picked up this book today at the Depot House in Coburg. By the way the book selection is well worth the stop if you are in the area. I will add this book to my "to read" pile. After I read it, I'll relaese it.

This isn't the sort of book I would have normally selected for myself. The woman running the Depot House recommended it to me. It was a good story. Not a lot of action. Sort of "quiet" is how I would describe it. But it was set in such a way that I was very curious about what would be come of the main character so that kept me interested. Also the scenes were describe in a style that as the reader I felt I could "see" the places and they were very well described.
