The best part of this book was that I learned a helpful household hint. Did you know that when you get a run in one leg of your nylons rather than throwing them away you can snip off the offending leg and then wear said nylons with another pair that has been snipped in a similar fashion thus forming a perfect pair? Who would have thought that Thomas Harris would be giving Heloise a run for her money in the old helpfulness category?
Not me. I bought the book because I was curious to see what all of the hype was about and I did enjoy it. It was exciting and suspenseful, although a little gross at times. Hannibal Lecter is really a minor character here but still every bit as charismatic on the page as he is on the screen.
I would reccomend this book to any mystery lovers who haven't read it already.

Great stuff, good to read. There are a few gory parts (but not excessively so), and the story moves right along with some good twists in it. I'm not sure where I'll release this; probably at the next BookCrossing meeting.
