The story of Rachel Jensen, loving mother and wife to Kate and Josh. The summer Kate is thirteen, she returns from summer camp sullen, angry, and withdrawn. Everyone assures her it is typical adolescent angst, until Kate has a terrifying accident with her baby brother Josh. The ensuign guilt and trauma rupture their family, perhaps irrevocably. This is a mesmerizing journey through the mysteries of adolescent pain, marriage, and family crisis. It is very well written.

I caught this book from powaybabe and started reading it almost immediately. The story sucked me in right away, and I'll probably finish the book tonight.
