I loved this tale in my younger days and this edition is colourful, rhyming and even has instructions on how to Grow A Grassy Meadow. The story I remember was a lot more scary than this version. I seem to remember a very frightening troll and a rickety old bridge.

I plan to release this into the hands of the Annandale troll under the bridge.

I found this book on Mother's Day while enjoying an early morning walk along Blackwattle Bay.I was making a weekend visit from the Central Coast to visit my two eldest daughters at Camperdown.I hadn't intended to cross the road to walk under the Troll Bridge but my youngest daughter is a Guerrilla Gardener fan,so I took the detour.I was very surprised to find this little book and immediately knew that My Year 1 class at Woy Woy South Public School would love the story and especially love the intrigue of 'catching a book'.Well,the Three Billy Goats Gruff made their way up the freeway,and have been enjoying an extended holiday on the coast ever since.Releasing this book will be difficult,as it is currently "the" book to read in our classroom.However,true to the Bookcrossing spirit,we will release it at a not yet determined time or place.I will also post some Year 1 book reviews in the near future. (PS- Sorry for the delay in making this journal entry!!!!)
