Amazon.de:
Born in Newgate prison, the daughter of a woman subsequently transported to Virginia for theft, Moll Flanders (as she calls herself in later life) enjoys a respectable upbringing in Colchester and looks set for a humble but model life. But when a son of the house seduces her, she embarks on the wayward career she describes in these pages, adventuring from man to man and deceit to deceit till at length she takes up crime. At first it pays, as she thieves her way around 18th century London. But when Moll is caught she finds herself, like her mother before her, in Newgate, fearing a death sentence. The richly ironic tale of a liar, polygamist and thief, 'Moll Flanders' is Defoe's most wicked narrative, and his heroine an unforgettable shape-shifter as she re-invents herself to suit every new opportunity.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Slept too long on my classics-to-be-read pile. I set it free now.
On the little BC shelf by the stairs.
On the little BC shelf by the stairs.
I went to check out the BC shelf and Cafe Marie today to drop off some books myself and I was quite excited to see Moll Flanders sitting on the shelf. I'll be taking her to England, so that's where I'm most likely to release her again.
The book travelled quite a distance with me. I took it to Nepal, where I started reading it, then I took it to England, intending to finish, but university got in the way, so I didnt get to do that until I took it to America a year later. I left it with a friend who also enjoyed liteature.
I also liked Moll Flanders a great deal better than Robinson Crusoe, thank you fpor sharing this book with us :)
