Turbulent Souls: : A Catholic Son's Return To His Jewish Family

I'm a sucker for memoirs and this is priceless. The conversion of the author's parents to Roman Catholicism and his eventual return to Judaism is a fascinating and moving story. Very well written, and sensitive. A tell-most book that seeks understanding and insight into the meaning of religion as related to family and self.

Picked this up in the ladies room at the Mammoth Cave Campground (wierd place to find reading material, really...) About two thirds of the way through it, and I'm hooked. It's a wonderful piece of non-fiction, and especially interesting to me as the areligious girlfriend of lapsed Catholic who has found herself more often at Jewish religious ceremonies than Christian ones. Will pass this along as soon as I'm done, probably leaving it somewhere on the IU-Bloomington campus (where I'm feverishly pursuing a PhD in biology.)
