I'm very glad I checked the "Go Hunting" page this evening! Another BookCrosser, Geologygirl, is organizing a bookring for this series, and is missing this volume. So when I saw it out there and available, I hotfooted it over to the hospital at an excessive rate of speed -- thank goodness no Little Rock officers of the law were out on Chenal Parkway or I-630!

I nonchalantly strolled into the crowded CCU waiting room, scanning the tables, sofas, and chairs, as I made my way to the magazine rack. I noticed that DUNE was sitting on a table, so someone had picked it up and looked at it, but that was not my object, so I left it alone. And then, the magazine rack. A BookCrosser's bonanza! Most of the volumes sandpanther had released were still there. I quickly grabbed GOD EMPEROR, and then selected a few others for good measure. But I left the other Dune books -- I've read them, and Geologygirl already has them.
