OK, I'm reading it. I was assigned to read this many years ago while in HS. Somehow I wormed my way out of it (as I did many, many assignments back in the day!) and as an adult, I now feel compelled to finish my assignment. I'll read it for Black History month. It's just taken a few years to get to it.
Wow! Fascinating read even after all these years. I read this book as Barack Obama is holding seat as President of this wonderful United States of America - fabulous strides have been made but we have a long way to go. I will leave this great book somewhere in the wild soon. I'm certainly glad I've read it!
