This was about to be released but kept back as I might read it after all.
So, I did read it after all. At first glance it appeared quite straightforward, but there was depth - particularly in the parts that related to the past. The bit in the 'present' had a different tone, and I didn't warm to the adult version of the main character as much as the teenager. The adult needed to get a grip! But all credit to the author who kept my empathy for the adult character in tact despite him being a bit annoying at times.
