Today two books of the Redwall-Saga [were set on my wishlist] arrived: Great thanks Jazmin.
The packet was so thick, it didn´t fit in our letter-box, so the postwoman was standing in front of our door. She was in a really bad mood – “it´s to thick”, was all she sad.
I was nervous like a little child on chritmas eve. It was hard to open the envelope. Then after 2 minutes I held two books in my hand: screaming wow, wow – these are the first two Redwall books. I would like to start reading right now. But I will start reading the first book in a few days after I finished the discussion of my results and preapring a report :(
Thanks thanks thanks for sending the books.
I think they will start an interesting journey in the bc-world …

"The legend begins", written in 1986 "Redwall" is the first book in the great saga.
I really enjoyed reading: fantastic characters (some are really funny, a really cruel bad-guy and a lot of likable little ones), great plot (introducing the inhabitans of Redwall and the neighborhood, descriptions of great feasts with excellent food, a quest with riddles and puzzles for finding the sword of the last great Warrior Mouse, a war ...) - all in all a fantastic book. Completly understandable, that this book was the start of sth. huge.
My favourite characters of this book are:
Silent Sam the squirrel (he´s so sweet),
Basil Stag Hare (funny one with a huge appetite)
Squire Julian Gingivere (a vegetarian cat)
Warbeak Sparra (to lovely, when she becomes a true friend of Matthias)
Cornflower Fieldmouse (addding some romance to the war-plot)
And finally my favourite quotation:
Captain Snow [= a snowy owl]: "Go away! Begone! I can´t stand it, all those little dinners [= the happy shrew folk] dancing around".
