Cover and publisher differ to one shown above. This is a Penguin book.

Blurb on the back cover says...

"London is in ruins. Two warring families of ganglords, the Volsons and the Conors, control the city. To cement a truce, Val Volson gives his fourteen-year-old daughter as a bride to Conor. But can either man trust the other? And what does trust matter when the gods decide to play a part in the affairs of men..."

I haven't personally read this book - it is one of my husband's books but upon asking him about it for this commentary he has suggested that it is probably best read by an older teenager/adult due to subject matter. Of course, any finder of this book can make their own mind up about the content, after all Puffin themselves have classified it as teenage (although interestingly this is a Penguin book which differs from the default entry above based on ISBN number!?) I just put this comment in as a comment/alert and nothing more - make of it what you will.

I think I picked this one up for my daughter (apologies for the slow journalling!). I have read part of this before as a short story I think. I'll let you know if my daughter enjoys it.
