One of the strangest books I have read in many a yer. I continue to find these Penguin books in the used book bins of Manila.
While it is listed as a novel, there are several pages in the back of the book that state that the facts are true. I must investigate this cold war slaughter of an entire herd of Giraffes in Prague. What a strange story. Perhaps google or wickipedia will enlighten me on the "rest of the story."

I am wraping the book today and will post it to a friend in Milwaukee, WI who has a "thing" for giraffes! Not sure what her reaction will be to the slaughter of her all time favorite animal.
