Bought for release, but I've been wanting to read Rice's work for some time, so will definitely read this first.
I thought this was just okay; the characters only semi-engaged me and I kept losing the thread of the mystery. (Part of the problem may have simply been that I was only able to pick it up and read it sporadically during my sons' nap times. Who knows?) I'm not a huge fan of noir-style writing, either, which may have contributed to my relative indifference. It wasn't a terrible book, but I found myself wishing I could get to the end more quickly - which generally isn't a good sign.
