A very interesting detective story. Someone murdered Ellen Gray's mother and a friend in 1945. Her father however is accused of the murder. Ellen, then eight years old, lives with a friend of her parents. Then in 1965 she learns more about the case and becomes convinced her dad was really innocent. This provokes fear in the real murderer and so he kills again, this time Ellen is accused. A good story, a quick read for a rainy afternoon.
