My husband and I just finished this today ... listening to the audio book together while I follow along in the book. The beginning of the book is soooo creepy ... I had trouble sleeping at night ... and worried about my daughter walking out to her car at night after work. But as the story progresses the suspense builds to finding about who Casanova really is. Just when you think Alex Cross has it figured out, he's so close but not right on target. The way the book ends leaves you wondering if its leading up to the next book in the series ... or just back to every day life of a detective in D.C. Again, Samson continues to be my favorite character ... and has me holding my breath at one point fearing for his life.
Favorite quote (page 349) - "Kate, believe it or not, is not self-centered enough," I told Sampson. "Rare, rare disease in our quarter-century. It's because she doesn't watch much TV. She reads too many books instead."

Received in the mail on Saturday, 9/27. I saw this movie awhile back. Can't wait to read this.
I started reading this book, when a friend at work left this book for me on my desk. She no longer wanted it. So I thought I'd get this bookray book onto the next person swiftly. I will be mailing this book to talon2claw on Monday (10/6/03) Thanks cyber-librarian for hosting this bookray.

I got this in the mail today. I've got a couple other bookray books to read first, but I should be able to start this one in a week or two. Looking forward to reading it. Thanks for adding me to the bookray!
Very sorry about the delay in posting and mailing the book out. Some things came up that demanded my attention and bookcrossing (along with some other hobbies) had to take a back seat for a while. The book is in the mail to arcadedweller now.
I thought the book was very good, although quite creepy at times. I've seen the movie and it amazes me the differences between the two. As is mostly the case, the book was definitely better.
Thanks for including me in the bookray.

I'm reading this book now, and hope to have it mailed out before the end of the week.
