The book that launched a number of careers - in the Watch at least. A classic noir thriller/detective novel set on everyone's favourite fantasy world. In fact you could be (almost) anywhere at almost (anytime) the fantasy is for the most part unobtrusive and when it isn't, it just seems right - when you put the book down you wonder why there aren't dragons flying across the sky.
