Journal Entry 1 by Sauvignon from Vientiane, Vientiane Prefecture Laos on Thursday, October 25, 2007
I've listed this as a mystery but the murder mystery is just one element of the story. It was an o.k. read especially learning about the Channel Islands occupation during WW 2. However I found myself counting how many pages until the end of a chapter. Not a good sign.
Picked up at the first ever Lao-German-Everyone else Bookcrossing meeting.
I started the book late last night. Hope to have it read soon. Better yet, I discovered where the Channel islands are.
A good book for military fan readers as well as those interested in WWII.
I did learn a lot abount Guensey and its history of french culture but in the end I sort of was happy to see the book end. The cover does get great points.

I will be returning this book to Sauvignon who has it promised to another friend.
