I don't think I will ever get round to reading this: I found it on wishlist so its going off as a gift for someone who has been brave enough to organise a spiral......

Thanks for sending this to me. I was sent a RABCK copy of this book last year, unfortunately it came from a very smokey reader's house/place of work and so I just found I couldn't read it. It was actually released from the 4th Plinth in London by MoleKilby last year! (Perhaps the fresh air flight did it good?)
This is a good clean smelling copy. ;-)

I have the audio version of this to listen to now. I suppose I'm going to have to be aware of not blasting it to the neighbours when the windows/doors are wide open in warm weather!

2/7/11 Fantastic book! I reckon you can trace its influence on many Cosmopolitan articles through the years and Sex in the City to name just a couple of examples. I also thought that Eat Pray Love would be a good read after, if both are new to the reader. They are both about women finding themselves and deciding what to do next...
I can't quite see how it gets the reputation of being racy in today's world, though I know it was pretty groundbreaking at the time of publication. So, there's the C word but in context, it's not used as a highly offensive swear word.
This book is eloquent and thoughtful, with great humour. I will definitely listen to the audio book again. The interview at the end with Erica Jong is a good one too.
