Odd, endearing book from the same author of What's Eating Gilbert Grape? The protagonist here is a boy, Scotty Ocean, who wants to stay seven forever. If you liked Grape then this one might be up your alley. Hedges seems to capture the moments up growing up and not understanding yet yearning to understand through intuition and finally making up our own kiddie versions of reality.
