I read this book on the advice of my minister (Anglican). I was OK with the first dozen chapters. In fact, I was quite relieved to be reminded that it's not "all about me" and that I am here for a larger purpose. I'm good with God being more important than me. But farther into the book the American right fundamentalist background of this book starts to show through and I had to stop reading.
I say, from this book take the messages that mean something to you, and stop reading before you get totally annoyed.

We had a lunchtime rendezvous to pass the book. Yveta is a total stranger who I met two days ago. I was buying a display book at the local secondhand bookstore and she was looking for Purpose Driven Life. Store didn't have it so I offered my copy. I love sharing books.
