This is the second of Pratchett's wonderful Discworld series, and contains the further adventures of cowardly (and inept) wizard Rincewind, quintessential tourist Twoflower, and the unbelievable - and delightfully unforgettable! - Luggage. There are also a great many encounters with people, places, and Things that seem vaguely familiar to readers of fantasy and/or science fiction, from the powerful and mysterious magical tome the Octavo to the aged and crotchety (but still deadly) hero Cohen the Barbarian. Great fun!
