I picked this book up because it was recommended by a favorite author, Nicola Griffith (her best is The Blue Place, read it!) It took me about 30 pages to get into this book (some of the british slang is hard to get at first), but then I found myself really interested in the main character and enjoying the writing style. A good solid read.

Well written. Somewhat cynical. Having lived in London, I enjoyed the setting & feel of the book. The 'mystery' was fairly obvious, so the book gets dull about 3/4 of the way through. Leaving it in Vancouver BC rather than in Seattle, where I found it.
Loved the idea of the BookCrossing Book, and the fun cover design, but didn't care for the novel itself. Competent and inoffensive, but I don't know that the britishisms (both the linguistic and the social commentary) translate all that well to N. America. Story seemed a little thin, too. But still, a better than average read.
