Fragile Things: Short Fictions and Wonders

Gaiman is hit or miss for me. Luckily, this is a short story collection, and he gets to fire plenty of shots. So while there are one or two painful stories there are many more that are charming, funny, and entertaining in typical Gaiman style. Not the best for someone who hasn't read the author before, but not a terrible introduction either. Also, fans of American Gods will be interested in the Shadow story that concludes the collection.
