A tremendous 'what if' book....what if Lindbergh had become president? Most of us know Lindbergh's attachment to Hitler. The fact that anyone could admire the man is creepy enough, but an American? And an American with Lindbergh's stature in the eyes of the American public?

Roth's mixture of fact and fiction was an incredible feat. Certainly, we were introduced to his family in the book. Or were we? Were they real Roths or a made-up version?

The book wasn't a page-turning thriller, but that makes it more real and scarier than any work of thriller fiction. If one didn't know the true story, it wouldn't be difficult to believe that this book was a true memoir.
