Wow - one of the best books I've read in a long time. I just couldn't help loving the characters in this story, and the story itself was great too! Highly recommended.

From back cover:

Living alone in an old mansion, Grandpa Mann is the last surviving member of a once great family - or so he believes, until the morning he finds a baby abandoned on his doorstep. And one thing immediately becomes clear: Grandpa's solitary life is about to get a lot more interesting. A warm, funny and surprising story from a delightful new writer.

I think I might put this book out there as a rabck or ray. It's too good to be left sitting on a shelf or to wild-release.

Absolutely brilliant. Loved it! One of the best books I've read in ages, I found it intensely moving. Extremely well-written, not a word wasted in its 174 pages, almost like a short story. . I would love to read it again.

Thanks, bookfairy65, for sharing such a fabulous book. I'll send it off to sarahbear ASAP.

This was a great book apart from being a little slow in places. It would have been nice to have had a happier ever after ending with Annie but I guess there was a hint that just maybe it would be possible for the future. All in all a good read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Pming roelina for an address right now.

It took me a little while to get into this - I was thinking seriously at about page 30 that I was not going to finish. However, I persevered - and was rewarded for it. The story is really touching and I very much enjoyed it.
Thanks!
