6 journalers for this copy...
Synopsis Princess Contessa of Costenopolie knows everything a roayl should about diplomacy, self-defense, politics... and shopping. She ought to. She had every reason to believe that she was groomed to rule. But her next lesson is in betrayal... The sudden arrival of her betrothed, a prince from the kingdom of Misdev, has forced Tess's parents to come clean: She's no princess. Their real daughter was raised in a nunnery for fear of assassins. Tess is nothing but a beggar's child bought off the strets as an infant and reared as a decoy. So what's a royal highness to do when she discovers she's a royal target? Ditch the Misdev soldiers coccuplying the palace, use magical abilities she didn't even know she had, restore the real princess to the throne, and save her own neck. But first, Tess has to deal with the scooundrel who's urging her to run away from it all,and the Misdev captain who's determined to thwart her plans...
Finish with the first book. It is very good. It is one of the few books I would love to have in my privete library. I hope the next person enjoys this book as much as I did.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
RELEASE NOTES:
Off to Twynnie (United Kingdom / Int'l).
Should be there in ten days as It was mailed air mail
These arrived a couple of days ago - thanks for sending them on Knightslady and thanks for sharing Shawnna! I've just finished my last book so the first one will be next on my list. I may read a book between them if I'm not going to have trouble keeping withing the six week deadline (because my TBR pile is too big so I have a 'rule' to read a TBR book for every bookring I read!)
This was a good old-fashioned adventure and very enjoyable! Most of the characters were fun, our heroine Tess especially, and Jeck and Duncan. The only thing that annoyed me was that she insisted on saying 'Chu pits' so often, which was slightly irritating. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend this!
Update: I see joasik has been having PM problems, so I have sent an email. Hopefully these should be on their way soon.
The books are now on their way by airmail to Joasik in Amsterdam.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It's been awhile since I read a fantasy novel - not a romance, not a paranormal fiction but a simple, old-fashioned fantasy. It was really enjoyable and I barely put the book down since I started reading it. However, there were some annoying repetitions in it - like why did Tess wish for it to rain all the time?!

RELEASE NOTES:
I sent it some time ago - ca 2 weeks I guess - forget to make an entry. :(
Tess has always believed that she was the crown princess of Costenopolie. When she suddenly finds out that she''s in fact a decoy it''s a shock to the system. Add to that the fact that the possible future husband of the princess is a psycho and you can imagine how complicated things get. Fun read.
I received this today. Thanks for sending it back!
