Written by the author of Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress, although the person who gave it to me said they didn't enjoy it quite as much. It has a vibrant cover though.

\'Eating, Shitting, and fucking. As long as you are doing all three, life is good.\' This seems to be the theme of the book. A young Chinese man who travels to france and become obssessed with Freud. He also becomes beholden to a cranky, disguisting old Judge who demands that Mou bring him a virgin to sleep with. Being a virgin himself, this tangeled web of eating, shitting, and trying to sleep with people is an interesting, if hard to follow tale.

I am currently traveling in Nepal and will give this book to my new Nepali friend who is thirsty for inexpensive books written in English. I just hope he doesn't share the contents with his parents.
