Blackbird: A Childhood Lost and Found
3 journalers for this copy...
This is a sad but wonderful autobiography about a girl with a lot of determination to succeed despite a difficult childhood. Ms. Lauck writes with the voice of a child, an amazing feat which brings to mind Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird.
I will be passing this book along with the sequel, Still Waters, to Serenity blue.

Thanks Eleanor I really enjoyed this author and the time for which it was written.

Well written, the author is very good at presenting the worldview of a child. I guess I just wasn't in the right mood for this one.
