This book was not as good as some of the other Shreve works that I've read but it was definitely worth reading.

What to say of Fortune's Rocks.......I was very, very impressed. I did not have high hopes of sinking into this book as I despised The Pilot's Wife. I found myself absorbed by the characters, and the intensity of the situation they put themselves in.
I am looking forward to reading all Anita Shreve has to offer from now on.

Even in fiction, I cannot condone anyone sexually exploiting a child!!!!! There should be a category where it says: "To be Shredded"!
