Just when I thought I was almost finished collecting the Anne series...

And short stories to boot! I love short stories!
This appears to fall into place between Anne of Ingleside and Rainbow Valley. *Eventually*, when I collect the rest of the series this book will join the Anne of Green Gables bookbox bookring!

This one was kind of ho-hum. It was quite detatched from the stories, and actually steered my attention away from reading for a while. A good read, but I reccommend now to read it after everything else so as not to be distracted from Anne's journey.

Nice stories, but I had a bit of trouble trying to remember any of these characters from previous books.

I received this entire series today and have already started the first book. I have always been curious about these books because my younger sister, who DOES NOT read, actually read and enjoyed this series when we were younger. Thanks day-zee for sharing them with us!

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

I have tried a couple of times to read the first book in this series, but the whole set has some type of incense oil or fragrance on them. It smells good and I am sure there were good intentions behind putting fragrance on the books, but I get a headache every time I try to read them. I have SEVERE allergies to fragrances and get migraines from perfumes and chemicals.

I decided that I don't want to deal with the whole fragrance in the books issue right now, so I'm sending this series on to the next reader, princess-peapod. I am disappointed because I was really looking forward to reading these books. I have seen copies of some of them in thrift stores since signing up for this bookring, so maybe I will come across more copies and read them later. It did seem from the little that I was able to read (before getting a headache) that I may enjoy them. I hope the next reader doesn't have allergies and migraines like I do so the fragrance will not bother them.

How did I get myself involved in this? There are so many books! I can do it.
